To the delight of storage starved Wii owners across the globe, Nintendo announced today a new Hard Drive addon for the Wii.
It's tentatively named the Wii-DD, which many of you OGs out
there will remember is very similar to the also long awaited (but never
delivered outside of Japan) add-on drive for the N64, the 64-DD.
Well good news, this one is twice as huge, and no, we don't mean in terms of market impact, we mean it's literally huge.
As you can see it's a compact 20x the size of the Wii itself making it much more secure in case of an earthquake. It also uses it's own power supply so you don't have to dim the light on the Wii when updating!
In case you're still having trouble picturing it, here is another visual aid, shown actual size.
So again, you can clearly see, the Wii-DD towers over a normal Human, and is about the same size as an adult male bull elephant. Yet, still not quite as big as Donald Trump's ego and not quite as long as the Final Fantasy XIII production timeline.
As for features, The device sports a massive 4gbs (FOUR GIGABYTES!) worth of storage!
It
also comes complete with thumb print verification for game content
rated over E-10 (gotta keep the kids safe!). The new Wii-DD sits
comfortably next to your Wii only and nicely blocks out the sun's
harmful UV rays keeping your system fresh forever!
Thats not
all! The Wii-DD also sports the ability to rip your favorite tunes to
the new Wii-sounds application (please allow a 3 business day wait for
verification that ripped songs are legaland have correct content to be
allowed on the Wii platform)
Fun for the whole family!
