Midsummer Festival to Include Fireflowers

Midsummer Festival

FROM THE WOW PTR - Midsummer Festival is still months away, but already fireflowers are being tested as the new holiday treat on the PTR. Find one of these rare blossoms in a dungeon and be the first to ninja it, and your toon will suddenly grow twice in size, sporting all-white gear and an unequippable collector's hat. The catch? No dying until the dungeon is finished!

If you're one of the unlucky that gets a fireflower and dies, your character is shrunk to half its size (not Small Feast, think of a car being put through a compressor) and remains that way until the 24 hour debuff wears off. If you do manage to make it, congratulations, you have a collectable hat!

It's not like you have your class abilities to defend you, either-- remember how the 80 levels you worked for get thrown out the window for a dragon's half-assed ability bar in Malygos and Oculus? You heard right! The fireflower turns your toon into a vehicle with only three buttons: Super Jump, averaging 10-12k damage; Fire Throw, hurling a mage-like fireball for 20k; and Squat, reducing all damage by 50% (unless you're unlucky enough to have a mob with a fireflower do a Super Jump on you.)

Hats with an "L" are selling on the PTR for 100g on the AH right now, whereas hats with an "M" seem to only generate about 50 silver.

Recheck your credit card balance -- if you're close to the limit, now is the time to settle up. There are lots of ways to manage debt like shaking trees and selling the apples that fall out. If you didn't understand this piece of advice, it's because you don't play Animal Crossing, and therefore, are not a complete idiot. Congratulations.

Vampires. Mummies. My love life. What do these things have in common? They’re all dead, and the legends of their deeds will be the foundation of nightmares for years to come. We all fear the day when the reanimated corpse of Abraham Lincoln meanders down the street, thirsting for vengeance, brains, and a hat that won’t restrict his ability to enter a parking garage.

We've all been in that situation we hate. In the 9th hour of a Smash Brothers Brawl, or Halo 3 session when Mr. hunger comes knocking on our stomach lining like an angry husband returning from a deadly salmon run to find you sleeping with his wife.
