I'll be up front. I'm a huge Magic nerd. You might doubt my nerditude levels because of the "oh-so-clever" image that accompanies this post, but I assure you, I'm bonafide nerdtastic.
You might think the fact that I played the paper game of Magic since it's second set (called Beta) until about 2 years ago when the price of booster packs went up higher than the cost of cigarettes, weed and gas. Again though, you'd be wrong. My deep love of the paper game actually skews my perception of the new Xbox 360 Live game negatively. I'll try however to exorcise the demons of fan boy rage in order to give you a fair and informed view of the latest digital installment.

ROCKVILLE - Big news for the Maryland based game company Bethesda Softworks today, as big time movie star and ethnically confused Will Smith signed on to produce the next installment of the hit series Fallout. [Details after the jump!]
MTV has been promoting the trailer for the new video game series, Batman: Akham Asylum. I'm sorry, did we say new game series? We really meant the newest sequel to Metal Gear solid, this time with Batman skins instead of Mr. Snake.
You have to infiltrate an enemy stronghold without being seen, heard or reported. Sound familiar? Well, watch the trailer, and you will get a distinct feeling of deja vu as you watch Mr. Wayne crawling behind walls and choking out baddies with guns that so conviently look the wrong way. I'm just wondering where the orange crates are?
Not to knock them or anything, can you blame Eidos for wanting a slice of a good game design? I wonder what Lara Croft has to say about this...

The Sega Dreamcast holds a near and dear spot in many gamer’s hearts as a good system that died before it’s time. It’s no wonder Sega is renewing trademarking for some of the system’s games. Games like Rez, Soul Calibur have already found new life on xbla with Virtual On: Oratorio Tangram joining the ranks soon. Trademarks have already been renewed for ChuChu Rocket, Cosmic Smash, 18 Wheeler: American Pro Trucker and Jet Grind Radio. It would be great see more Dreamcast classics easily available on xbla and who knows, if these games sell well we might even see good remakes or sequels. Though hopefully not requiring VMUs to play stupid minigames :-P Soon it will be time to vote...with your money!

[Overall Score: 9.5 - Steal from yo momma to get it]
