Rockband finally hits Wii this June with a no frills added announced by Harmonix today.

The good folks over at Gametrailers [1] the set will sell for $169 and come out June 22nd....IT'S ABOUT FREAKING TIME!

Harmonix took it's sweet time releasing a date for the it's-so-obvious-you're-going-to-make-a-port title, and they're taking even more time to give us the details we want. As of yet there is no information about providing an online store option like the Xbox360 and PS3 versions have. This is akin to blindfolding a child at his birthday party, handing him a bat, and telling him to swing away at a pinata...made of reinforced steel.

COUGH UP THE DETAILS HARMONIX! Your fans are waiting, well, ok, to be fair we're playing Smash Bros. Brawl and Call of Duty 4, but none-the-less we'll be making the Wii port of Rockband an instant addition to our gaming librarie, and not in that "bought it just to fit in at game cons" guitar hero kinda way.
