What do you want on your 2008 E3?

July 13, 2008 by Micah Bleich

E3 LogoElectronic Entertainment Expo is nearly upon us and promises to slap us repeatedly and mercilessly in the face with news coverage of gaming awesomeness. There are many flavors involved and tons of events happening, butwhat do you want in your E3?

I know I want to know what the hell my Wii is supposed to do the rest of this year. Reggie has been smiling and doing the money dance all first and second quarter and I want to know what he’s hiding. Could we finally be getting animal crossing online social experience we were promised before the Wii even came out? A new Zelda game or hard drive/video card attachment that will morph the Wii into a machine capable of Xbox 360 feats?

Over in Microsoft’s camp there really isn’t much to be surprised with, a lot of their cards were already laid on the table in early May. They are going to make a big deal about the price cut everyone already knows is coming. This writer is personally hoping for an “If sony is doing well we will make live free” announcement. One can only dream!

Last and sorta kinda least there’s Sony I’m expecting a price cut but cannot say that with certainty. Should Sony pull the price cutting trigger complete with bouncy Wal-Mart smiley face, it would sere to keep pace with the Xbox 360 after the similar afore-mentioned price cut.

Recheck your credit card balance -- if you're close to the limit, now is the time to settle up. There are lots of ways to manage debt like shaking trees and selling the apples that fall out. If you didn't understand this piece of advice, it's because you don't play Animal Crossing, and therefore, are not a complete idiot. Congratulations.
